Carolyn Drummond is a Research Officer currently working on projects related to impairments that affect hand function and gross motor function in disability. She is involved in projects that use the Rett Syndrome Gross Motor Scale and the Rett Syndrome Hand Function Scale and she is developing manuals to support their use.
Prior to her work with the Child Disability Team at Telethon Kids Institute, Carolyn was a physiotherapist in paediatrics for many years, including early intervention in both rural and metropolitan areas.

Adapting a measure of gross motor skills for individuals with CDKL5 deficiency disorder: A psychometric study
Validated measures capable of demonstrating meaningful interventional change in the CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) are lacking. The study objective was to modify the Rett Syndrome Gross Motor Scale (RSGMS) and evaluate its psychometric properties for individuals with CDD.
