Brain and behaviour is at the core of many issues affecting childrens' ongoing health and wellbeing.
At the Telethon Kids Institute, this research encompasses a child's learning, development and mental health - and the impact of conditions like cerebral palsy, autism and intellectual disability.
Our research investigates the developmental, genetic, family and environmental determinants of child wellbeing, and how clinical, educational and community practices can provide every child with the best opportunity for optimal health and development.

Learn more about The Fraser Mustard Centre - a unique research collaboration between Telethon Kids Institute and the South Australian Department for Education and Children Development named in recognition of Dr Fraser Mustard's contribution to South Australia. This collaboration has been formed to provide new opportunities for evidence-based policy decisions and partnerships based on a shared approach to child development.
