Program Manager – The ORIGINS PROJECT
The ORIGINS Project (ORIGINS) is a collaborative initiative between the Telethon Kids Institute (TKI) and Joondalup Health Campus (JHC), establishing a new WA birth cohort. The novel aspect of this initiative is that it is fully integrated into the clinical and diagnostic services, led by a strong cohesive vision of JHC Executive and Department Heads, across both public and private sectors. ORIGINS is building a research platform to enable world class investigations into when and why non-communicable diseases (NCDs) develop, through the study of early environments, maternal and paternal physical health and genetics. Our goal with the ORIGINS Project is to reduce the rising epidemic of NCDs through 'a healthy start to life’. Website: https://originsproject.telethonkids.org.au

The Program Manager will supervise the activity of the management staff and the ORIGINS Working Group, and will be responsible for the daily conduct of the Project, including implementation of directives by the Scientific Committee, Directorate and/or the Executive Group. This includes co-ordination of research activities, data management, bio-repositories, protocol standardisation, ethics and reporting requirements (including the activities of other staff in these domains), and compliance of sub-studies, specific projects and clinical trials in the Project.
The successful applicant will:
- Have a Phd, MBA or equivalent
- Demonstrate understanding of health research, clinical trials and Good Clinical Practice
- Be experienced in high-level program and/or project management, including reporting and fiscal accountability
- Demonstrate the ability for high level strategic thinking and able to build support, investment and leadership commitment
