Project Coordinator, Ear Health (Telehealth Project)
The Opportunity:
The Ear Health Team are currently developing an innovative ear and hearing health and telehealth program for children in WA and building on an established cohort for early surveillance of Aboriginal ear health in metropolitan Perth. The Team has involvement in a diverse range of projects, with the opportunity to collaborate on epidemiological studies, clinical trials, vaccine and health services research, and has close links to clinicians at Perth Children's Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time twelve-month fixed term contract to co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the Ear Portal telehealth project.
The Role:
Working with a dedicated team of clinicians and researchers, key responsibilities include:
- Documenting study procedures including eligibility criteria
- Collection of study related data according to the study protocol
- Ensuring study related data is accurate and up to date
- Participate in field work as required
- Database development and accurate data management
- Written and verbal communication with team members and stakeholders
- Contribute to future project development
- Report writing
- Project administration duties, including the maintenance of project documentation, plans and reports
- Attendance at seminars, conferences and workshops as required
- Supporting other projects under the Ear Health Program as required
Experience:
- Project management qualifications or relevant experience
- Experience in project coordination and administration duties preferably in health projects
- Experience with maintenance of project documentation and plans and reports
- Basic knowledge and interest in ear health and child development
- Experience in Aboriginal child health
- Involvement in Health Research projects including study design, data collection and data management
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail
- Highly organised, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks in a busy working environment
- Evidence of well-developed problem-solving ability
- A high level of computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Health promotion/education/clinical experience is desirable
The successful candidate will be required to provide a Working With Children Clearance and a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
Remuneration: A salary of $85, 000 per annum is being offered. You will also be eligible for generous salary packaging.
