Research Assistant - Infectious Disease Epidemiology
The Opportunity
The Research Assistant will work within a multidisciplinary team within the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases on a clinical trial based at Perth Children Hospital that will assess the evidence based care of Acute Respiratory Infections in Children.
The Role
This is a Full-time position, fixed term for 1 year with a possibility of extension.
Remuneration will be within $70,000 - $76,000 per annum dependant on experience with access to generous salary packaging.
The Experience
The successful applicant will have the following skills:
- Tertiary qualification science, health or nursing with progress towards postgraduate qualifications relevant to infectious diseases.
- Demonstrated experience in managing research projects
- Experience in analysing and presenting research results
- Demonstrated experience in participant recruitment
- Demonstrated ability to set goals, develop priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude to relationship building with relevant stakeholders
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, data management, and electronic communications as required
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check and Working With Children’s Check prior to commencement.
