Research Assistant - Leukaemia Research
We are a collaborative group focused on the goal of improving outcomes for children with leukaemia. The Research Assistant will work in a research team to study the interactive mechanisms between leukaemia and surrounding cells as well as to evaluate novel therapeutics in preclinical models. We offer an interesting job in a very motivated and dynamic team with a friendly working atmosphere.
The successful candidate will:
- be able to work as part of a team;
- have a BSc (Hons)/Master degree with experience in medical research;
- have experience in animal models of disease including colony maintenance, performing injections, dissection;
- have experience in cell biology (in vitro cell culture)
- demonstrate knowledge of research methodologies;
- be confident to work independently;
- be able to manage multiple priorities and a demanding schedule;
- possess superior interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills;
- have excellent planning and organisation skills and attention to detail
This is a full time, fixed term contract for one year starting in January 2018, with possibility of extension.
