Research Assistants/Postdoctoral Immunologists - Cancer Immunotherapy Unit
The Opportunity
The Telethon Kids Institutes Cancer Immunology group is focused on harnessing the power of the immune system to eradicate primary and advanced cancer, particularly immune-based therapies targeting the activity of helper and killer T cells. One key project focuses on initiating de novo anti-tumour T cell responses through vaccination. Another project focuses on training immune cells to target and eliminate cancer. Remarkable advances have been made with these approaches over the past decade. However, these therapies are not universally successful. We are developing novel and innovative strategies to deliver improved cancer vaccines and cellular products.
