Research Nurse Vaccine Trials Group
The Opportunity:
Vaccine Trials Group are looking for two Research Nurses to work in our vibrant team. The Research Nurses will work alongside the Clinical Research Fellows, other Research Nurses and Research Assistants, with direct supervision by the Clinical Research Manager and the Director of the Vaccine Trials Group, to deliver high quality research projects. This includes trials sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, predominantly within the research field of vaccines and vaccine preventable disease which includes investigator led studies, funded by National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the Department of Health and other funders.
The Role:
- Undertake ethic submissions of research proposals
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies for research projects
- Collection of study related data and any samples according to each study protocol and adherence with GCP guidelines
- Responsible for clinical research duties and achieving successful outcomes
- Documenting and reporting on quality assurance
- Work across all stakeholders to delivery high quality research projects
- Presentations at conferences, publications and new qualifications and skills
Requirements for the role:
- Registered Nurse, currently registered with APHRA
- Previous research experience
- Previous clinical trials experience
- Sound computer skills - Microsoft word/excel/access
- Proven excellent and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to be self-directed
- Immunisation Certification and experience
We are looking to fill two positions, full time, fixed term for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Salary: $80,000 to $83,000 per annum with access to generous salary packaging.
The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check and Working With Children’s Check prior to commencement.
