Community Project Coordinator

Gillian is the Community Project Coordinator for the Healthy Skin, and ARF Prevention team. She will work in partnership with the research team to assist with Aboriginal community engagement, clinician support and patient & family resources within the Staphylococcus Aureus Network Adaptive Platform (SNAP Trial) across all Australian sites including WA based.  Gillian will provide support with cultural advice around cultural safety and capacity building for the team, community engagement in the trial, identify workshop and training opportunities for the SNAP trial team, and knowledge translation around the work SNAP Trial is doing.  Gillian is new to the health and research sector, however, thoroughly enjoying her time learning from the team of the collaborations, outcomes generated from these collabs, partnerships built and the whole-team commitment to ongoing research in infectious diseases, in particular healthy outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, their families and communities.
